Today, we spent some time at the river. I love the water, any time, any place. But when I’m at the river it always reminds me about something Jesus said, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:38. Love that promise!
Then I had lunch with one little gal and two little guys at Five Guys. And we rounded out the day at the movies with Humza and Dzia Dzia.
At one point I asked each of the little ones the thing that made them happy about moving and the thing that made them sad.
Ameenah: Getting to make new friends and leaving my old friends.
Azaan: Getting to make new friends and missing you.
Zain: I don’t want to go to a new school and I don’t want to color there!
Grammy: What? Going to a new school will be so much fun. And you are so good at coloring. Why don’t you want to color?
Zain: I can do that at home!
Grammy: But you are so good at it. In fact, I just put four of your pictures on my refrigerator.
Zain: (wide-eyed and stunned at my comment) You eat my pictures?
Grammy: Not “in” my refrigerator, “on” my refrigerator. I hang them up so everyone can see them because I’m so proud that you made them for me.
Zain: (relieved) Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
A day full of laughter and blessings! My heart is full. Happy Grammy!
