Tonight had the best time with our oldest grandson, Alex (who got all A’s in his first year at Georgia Tech, not braggin’ just saying;-) We started out with dinner at Gladys Knights Fried Chicken and Waffles. I managed to avoid my favorite dish, which is smothered chicken and instead opted for a healthier choice- baked chicken, green beans and black eyed peas. Alex had the Midnight Special, which is four fried wings and a waffle- he chose a chocolate chip waffle. Then for dessert we shared a peach cobbler w ice cream. Fabulous!
Next, onto hear the Atlanta Symphony conducted by Robert Spano with guest violinist, Serge Kryvov. Never heard anyone play violin like Mr. Krylov. I’m still reeling over it. After intermission, Mendelssohn’s Symphony No.4 in A Major, Opus 90- breathtakingly beautiful! What a great evening, made perfect because of getting to be with my Alex! Happy Grammy!
