Today, our oldest grandson, Alex graduated with honors from Riverwood High, Class of 2014! He also had his 18th birthday on May 21st. We had a spectacular, highly- attended duel celebration that included family, friends, great food, gifts and my favorite part, a beautifully articulated speech/blessing honoring Alex and those who have played a part in shaping him, delivered by his very proud and wonderful Dad, Dean.
He is a son who makes his parents proud, an exceptional big brother, a loyal friend, a devoted one woman man, a role model for his younger cousins, a strong and helpful nephew, a humble leader for fellow students, a giving servant to the community and the subject of perpetual bragging rights for some mega-proud grandparents!
Alex has been accepted at Georgia Tech and begins classes at the end of the summer!!! Big hugs, Grammy
