In NY with my sweetie! Tonight, dined at Butter, where the exec chef is Alex Guarnaschelli, one of the judges on my fav cooking show, Chopped. We didn’t even know if she’d be in or not, but she was,came by our table and chatted with us a minute, which was such a treat.
We stretched out the experience over two and a half hours. Had flatbread with baby fennel, charred dandelions and feta for an ap, I tried the artichoke soup, Jim, the kale salad, fettuccini with little neck clams for my entree, stripped sea bass for Jim, and we did taste tests of lemon sorbet with mint and beignets with raspberry filling which they brought to us on the house, because by then they probably thought we’d taken up residence.
