The Obamas’ 18 1/2 ft Douglas Fir came from Crystal Springs Tree farm in Pennsylvania. It was delivered by jingle bell adorned Clydesdales pulling a wagon. It will be decorated and ready for viewing in the Blue Room on Dec 3rd.
Not to be outdone, The Walchle’s 3 ft Douglas Fir arrived at Home Depot from an unknown location and was picked up by D in her Mini Cooper named Piccolo, that was freshly washed, but bell-less.
The Charlie Brown tree will be dressed tomorrow evening when several grandchildren descend upon our home to carry out our family tradition of decorating the tree, hot cocoa and cookies and viewing the Charlie Brown Christmas DVD. Once these festivities are concluded the Charlie Brown tree will be ready for viewing under the God Stories picture between the french doors and the sunroom.
Our stockings are hung and our shell wreath is on the door. Can’t wait until tomorrow night! Merry Christmas all year round everybody! Big hugs, D
