Sunday was our grandson, Coen’s 4th birthday. His bestie, Sammy from school was in attendance. The two are inseparable. During the celebration, Coen found a mud puddle to test drive a new truck he got as a gift. That was followed by the consumption of a delicious chocolate cupcake. When I asked Sammy to pose with him even amidst all the dirt and chocolate, without reservation, she put her arm around him, squeezed in and gave me a smile that would light up all of Atlanta. Because that’s what friends do. They love us with all of our flaws and imperfections. In fact they don’t even seem to notice. They just take us as we are, love us and grin a lot! Thank you for that good lesson, Sammy! Happy 4th Birthday, Coen! We love you so much!!!
